Interesting read! If the take-over is in name only, this is doomed to fail. Renaming EuroLeague and slapping an NBA logo on it will not suddenly attract thousands of extra fans. I would actually love to write one of my systems essays on this topic.
Agreed, it’s going to be interesting to see what the NBA could bring to things whichever way a league comes to life. The NBA has traditionally been heavy on marketing marquee players, which isn’t going to be the case here, no disrespect intended on current players or the likely recent ex-NBA players this new venture would attract.
